Auto-Save, Unsaved Changes Warning, and Comment Draft
updated on March 1, 2011 by TeamWork Live
We know that using web applications can sometimes be frustrating: how many times have you lost changes when editing a document because your web browser crashed or you accidentally clicked on a link to another page? Well, that no longer has to happen to you when using TeamWork Live. We would like to share with you the following new features that are designed to make editing documents online safer and more useful:
Auto Save
When you are editing an item from the edit page, the page will now be automatically saved every 3 minutes. If you accidentally close your browser or your browser crashes, you can rest assured that, at most, you will only lose 3 minutes worth of changes. Just return to the page you were editing, and you will have the option to continue editing the last auto-saved version or discarding the auto-saved changes and edit the original (see image below). Note that auto-save is not available when editing using quick edit.
Unsaved Changes Warning
We added warnings to let you know that you will lose unsaved changes when you attempt to navigate to another page while editing an item.
Comment Drafts
When adding comments, you can now save it as a draft and finish it later. Just click the [Finish later] button to save it as a draft instead of posting it. You can return to edit and post your comment by clicking the edit link.
