Grouped By Milestone Task View, Message Notification Preference, and Status Updates

We have added a few new features that we think will make you even more productive. They are the group by milestone task view, message notification preference, and status updates.

Group By Milestone Task View
We have added a new view to the tasks section. The previous view (now called the grouped by due date view) shows all tasks grouped by due dates in the order in which they are due. While this view allows you to quickly see when tasks are due, it can become unwieldy for planning if you have a lot of tasks. The new view groups the tasks by milestones.

The new view introduces some new features:
1. You can now reorder your tasks by dragging and dropping them to their new position.
2. You can move tasks between milestones by dragging them from one list to another.
3. From your personal tasks page, you can reorder your milestones so that the more important ones are moved to the top by dragging and dropping them.

To try out the new view, select "milestone" from the "Group tasks by" option. We think you will like it.

Message Notification Preference
Some of you prefer to always alert recipients of your messages via email. With the new notification preference, you no longer have to check the "alert recipient(s) of this message by email" option every time you send a message. Instead, you can now specify that the option be selected by default from your preferences. You will be able to override this default when sending a message.

This preference also applies when you reply to a message via email. If you set the default to always notify recipients of new messages, you no longer have to add [notify] to the reply subject each time you reply to a message via email.

Status Updates
You can now set your current status from the dashboard by clicking "Update status..." link. Status updates are shown in the recent activity list of all team members and allows you to keep your teammates informed about what you are doing. It can also be used to broadcast quick messages to all team members and to share interesting links you have found.
