After a quick break to celebrate TeamWork Live's one year anniversary, we are hard at work again making TeamWork Live more useful to you. Below are the newest additions.
Reply Via Email and Add Comment Via Email
A major goal of TeamWork Live is to integrate seamlessly with email, the most frequently used collaboration tool today. Starting today, you can now reply to messages and add comments via email instead of signing in to TeamWork Live. You can also attach a file to the reply email and it will automatically be attached to the message or comment.
Quoted text will automatically be removed from the reply email so you don't have to remove it manually. You might see instances where the quoted text is not correctly removed but this will get better with time as we improved the feature to take into account all the different email programs.
When replying via email, you can add
[notify] to the subject of the reply email and your message will automatically be sent by email to the message recipients. When adding a comment via email for a milestone or a task, you can include the following in the subject to perform the following action:
[close] — Mark the milestone or task as completed.
[reopen] — Reopen the milestone or task.
The appropriate options are listed at the bottom of the notification emails. Look for more options in the future.
Remove User From All Company Teams
If you are part of a group plan that is assigned to a company, you will now have the option when creating or editing a team to make the team a company team. This will be useful when a user leaves the company and you want to remove the user from all company teams at once instead of removing the user from each team manually. You can remove a user from all company teams from the company management page.
Clients
We have begun some work on client permissions. In the team management page, you will now have the option to invite users as either team members or clients. Currently, there are no differences between the two, but this will change as we complete more client-related features. Some client-related features we are working on include: making an item visible only to team members and not clients, asking a client to approve a completed task, and more. Stay tuned.
Quick Add/Quick Edit
1. You can now double-click most items to quick edit it. This includes items in the folders, calendar, milestones, and tasks pages.

2. We have added the URL field to quick add/quick edit. Many of you have requested this addition.
3. The rich-text editor is now turned off by default when using quick add/quick edit to make the application more responsive. You can turn on the rich-text editor by clicking the "Switch to rich-text editor" link below the description field.
Miscellaneous
1. We have added a job title field to the user profile.
2. You can also enter a job title when entering contact information for an item.
Bug fixes
1. We fixed a bug preventing team administrators from editing all team items.
2. We fixed a bug preventing a user from deleting the body text of an item when editing it.
Loving it more every day! The reply/comment by email feature is great.
Really looking forward to being able to separate clients from company users. Will we be able to re-designate existing users as clients?
Thanks,
Ellen
Thanks! You can already start reclassifying the users on your teams from the team management page. There currently isn't any functional differences between the two types but there will be in the future.
