(I don't think I submitted this before, but if I have, please
excuse me.)
I would like the ability to mark a task complete for which I am the
approver. On some tasks for which I am approver I can do
this, but not for all of them. It would be quite helpful to be able
to do this, and it makes sense that if I'm approving/overseeing the
task I should have the ability to control it.

This seems reasonable. We have updated the permissions to allow the approver for a task to also complete the task.
