More/Less link for task
added on May 24, 2010 by Josh Weaver
I was wondering if it would be possible to give the option in the
body of a task to add a "more" link so that if there is a large
amount of text in the task itself you can have it display only part
of the text. It could be like a blog, where it only shows the
first paragraph (or whatever the author wants to show) of the blog
article but has a "read more" link to the page where you can view
the blog article in its entirety. The comments would be displayed
in both views (as easier access to the comments is one of the
primary reasons I suggest the more link.)
The other alternative is have some sort of Javascript powered
"more" link that dynamically displayed the full text of the task
when you hit more, pushing all of the content below the "more" link
down the page to accomadate the full text of the article.
Would be happy to clarify any points that were not
clear...Thanks!

Thank you for the suggestion. We have added to our features request list.
Do a lot of the documents have really long bodies so that scrolling to the comments becomes an issue?
Sorry about the delay in my response...
Yes, we have rather long spec lists that we include in the body of the task to track revisions. Scrolling to comments in this case is quite cumbersome.
