When you create a message, you are able to select the individual recipients. To apply the same logic to files in the folder section would be great. EG. To be able to upload a file and "check" people from the project that are able to view the file.

Please consider adding a customize-able category field to tasks. If, for example, I want to find all of my tasks that are categorized "marketing" I could do so. Without categories, it is impossible to organize all my tasks into channels of functionality.

We are using TWL on real estate projects involving dozens of people from all over the world, many of whom don't know each other. However, they are all on the same team. When you select a member's name from a list, it would be nice if the following info was made available:
-
A short two or three sentence summary descriptive of who they are and what they do (that is relevant to the project to which they have been invited)
-
A link to their company's web site
-
More contact information
-
A link to their resume
Why? Doing so will help build "trust" between teammates who have never met one another before since individuals will have a better idea of who is on their team and what they do.

Hi,
We are loving TWL - much better than alything else out there, but
there is an issue I would like to resolve.
Does anyone know if the ICS feed is 2 way? Ideally if this is
published to ICal on my mac (or Outlook on Win) it would be good to
be able to tick the Tasks and Milestones as being complete.
Trying to get a work around for iphones - which works with Appigo
products nicely for tasks, but can't get the core issue resolved of
writing back to TWL?
Also any news on the iphone app?
Many thanks
Nick

I was wondering if it would be possible to give the option in the
body of a task to add a "more" link so that if there is a large
amount of text in the task itself you can have it display only part
of the text. It could be like a blog, where it only shows the
first paragraph (or whatever the author wants to show) of the blog
article but has a "read more" link to the page where you can view
the blog article in its entirety. The comments would be displayed
in both views (as easier access to the comments is one of the
primary reasons I suggest the more link.)
The other alternative is have some sort of Javascript powered
"more" link that dynamically displayed the full text of the task
when you hit more, pushing all of the content below the "more" link
down the page to accomadate the full text of the article.
Would be happy to clarify any points that were not
clear...Thanks!

Hi TWL,
Would it be possible to add the following feature requests to your future feature raodmap?
- mutiple reminders for tasks/milestones?
- tasks lists to group milestone tasks for example:
Milestone:
Web App XYZ milestone due date 06/15/10
App Testing task list due date 05/30/10
- Module X Test task due date 05/10/10
- Module Y Test task due date 05/15/10
- Module Z Test task due date 05/25/10
Content Creation task list due date 05/15/10
- First Draft task due date 04/20/10
- Draft #1 Review task due date 04/22/10
- Second Draft task due date 04/25/10
- Draft #2 Review task due date 04/27/10
- Publish task due date 05/05/10
Thanks,
SM

Unfortunately, right the time report cannot sort by date (you can filter out a date range, but not sort). It is only sorting project and milestone. I prefer to look at the report and see in chronological order the tasks that have been completed. Hoping this is fixed asap. Thanks.

HI guys, unless I've missed it I can't find any way in either the
expanded Milestones view or the Task view of identifying whether a
task has messages linked to it and, if so, of clicking through to
them. Is this correct? If so it makes it very cumbersome indeed to
check whether or not there is a message stream associated with a
task as one has to switch to Task view.
Thanks
Keith

Often times a task is dependent on another task being done.
AKA, truck inventory must be completed before the global inventory reorder can be completed. Also, the two tasks could be assigned to different parties.
The best process would be able to select if a task (when creating/editing) is dependent on another task (could be in a different milestone, project, or assigned to another user). This task could be opened and viewed, but not completed (checked off) until the primary task is due. This will create and automated workflow that enables managers to create pyramid project planning.

Overdue Alerts
-There is no way I can find to send an alert (manually or
automatically) to one or all users that have multiple overdue tasks that either
"require your approval" and/or "assigned by you"
-There is no preference a user can select to get alerted one time or continuously that task(s) are overdue
