Multiple Logins Required

If you have multiple clients, you have probably run into the situation where one of your clients already has his or her own Basecamp account. In such cases, Basecamp forces you to select one of the accounts to host the project. As a result, either you or your client will be forced to use the other person's account in order to work together on the project.

Lack of a Unified Dashboard

The multiple logins problem is made worse by the fact that having multiple Basecamp accounts prevents you from having visibility into all of your projects: your dashboard no longer provides you with a unified view of all of your projects. Instead, you have to log in to each of your accounts separately to see the status of your projects. Related Information Scattered In Different Places

Basecamp organizes project information by types, with messages, to-do items, milestones, and Writeboards kept in different tabs. This is problematic because they do not provide an easy way to link related information together so that they can be easily accessed. In contrast, TeamWork Live automatically links related information together for you: messages you send about a task are automatically linked to the task, as are any files, comments, and text you add to the task. As a result, you can quickly see all information related to an item without having to search for it all over the site.

Lack of Basic Project Management Features

Limited formatting options for text

If you want to format your text in Basecamp, you have to use Textile, a markup code used to format text that is not intuitive to many users. With TeamWork Live, you can use our rich-text editor to format your text the same way you would format text in Microsoft Word.
